Beyond Basic: Upscale Cannabis Essentials for Bougie Tokers

Posted by Canna Randa on Oct 19, 2021

Welcome to the follow-up of The Stoner Starter Kit: Tools of the Trade (A to Z). In our previous post, you learned about the basic supplies you should have on hand for easy cannabis consumption. Now that you’ve mastered the basics, it’s time to dig a little deeper and explore a selection of premium cannabis essentials, like cool stoner gadgets and exclusive weed tools reserved for more experienced -- and bougie -- tokers.

I don’t know about you, but the older I get, the more I value quality-made products. Not only do I enjoy luxury cannabis, cute weed tattoos, and tasty edibles, but I also appreciate the latest tools of the trade. I've started lighting up with hemp wick, grinding flower with an electric grinder, and I'm still always looking out for the next big thing. The time and care that goes into designing a top-end item are worth the extra money, in my opinion. Does that make me bougie or snobby? I don’t think so. I think it just means that I can appreciate spending more money on something that will last longer, get more use, and will take longer to end up in the trash.

So, just like I switched from Old Navy to Lands’ End and from Keurig to Nespresso, I have slowly been switching out the everyday essentials that I use to medicate with marijuana. Here are my favorite upscale cannabis essentials for bougie tokers.

Yocan UNI Pro

Gone are the days of using a stick battery for a marijuana vape cartridge. I have been using the UNI Pro box mod from Yocan for a couple of years now and love it. Available in many different colors, I have three -- a purple one for sativa, a black one for indica, and a red one for hybrid carts. The charge lasts a long time, and there is an adjustable voltage setting from 2.0V to 4.2V to customize your vaping experience. I love that the UNI Pro features an adjustable diameter dial that allows this battery to fit all sizes of cartridges -- up to 14mm wide.

Puffco Plus

I don’t know about you, but one of the things I dislike most about dabbing concentrates is the need for a butane torch to heat the tools. It makes me feel like I am doing actual hard drugs and not just medicating with a plant concentrate. In my search for an alternative, I found the Puffco Plus -- portable oil vaporizer. This cannabis essential allows me to load in my concentrate and toke on the go or as needed without using a torch to heat anything. It’s discreet, sleek, and makes me feel like a fancy spy with a cool stoner gadget when I use it out and about.

Puffco Peak

The first time I hit a Puffco Peak, I almost died. The hit was so enormous that it took over and expanded in my lungs like a sponge in water, and I coughed a lot. But, it only took that one hit to get me where I needed to be. This little smart rig is like a tiny bong for concentrates, and it packs a punch. It is important to note that all Puffco products -- any product that you smoke concentrates out of, really -- must be kept very clean to work the way you need them to. Rubbing alcohol, honey swabs or q-tips, and alcohol prep pads go a long way when caring for your exclusive stoner gadgets.

Zong Bong

You can go into your local smoke shop and pick up a cheap glass bong anytime you want, but a Zong bong is where it’s at when it comes to quality glass for your high-end weed. Custom-made and hand-blown from thick German-sourced Shott glass, the signature look of the Zong bong is a kinked neck that allows you to get more smoke from your bong rip. Instead of filling up a simple straight neck, the smoke creeps through the Z-shaped kinks to deliver a powerful punch when you clear your hit. Fully customizable and available with percolators and extra goodies inside, smoking your bougie cannabis from a Zong bong is a religious experience.

Ardent FX

Marketed as the “Easy Bake Ardent,” the Ardent FX is one of the coolest stoner gadgets I've ever come across. This device is a must-have for anyone who wants to create their own edibles or infusions. With no kitchen required, this handy all-in-one device decarboxylates, infuses, melts, and bakes right inside the portable, stainless steel cavity. Are you worried about the smell associated with making edibles? The Ardent FX is virtually odor-free and lets you DIY your stoner snacks discreetly. I can personally say that this little gem is the most fabulous kitchen tool I have ever owned -- and I am a sucker for kitchen gadgets!

Apothecarry Humidor

This case for your ganja and gear is truly the Bentley of cannabis cases. More than just a high-end herb humidor, the Apothecarry case is a well-organized, portable executive suite with all the necessities for an elevated experience. From premium jars for your flower to silicone containers and tools for concentrates to a rolling tray and a grinder -- this exclusive weed carrying case has what you need to bring the party wherever you go. Also ideal for home storage, this case is humidity-controlled and has a lock to keep out prying eyes. Plus, it is gorgeous and looks great sitting on a coffee or end table.

The next time you want to get something cheap for your cannabis collection, think about holding off and saving for something upscale and unique. Consider investing in exclusive cannabis tools that you’ll use frequently, like fancy rolling trays or bougie grinders. I guarantee that the money you spend will be worth it with the use that you get out of your upscale marijuana essentials.

Are you a fan of high-end cannabis accessories? If so, which are your favorites? I would love to hear your thoughts -- hit me up on social media and let’s spark up a conversation about it!
